This blended course satisfies the guidelines and criteria as laid down by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted. In order to obtain this qualification, you must complete both parts of the course.
Certification
Short multiple-choice assessment at the end of the e-learning module, plus continuous assessment by your instructor throughout the face-to-face training course.
Course Content
- First Aid: Elements of First Aid at Work will be included
- Reporting: Understand the role of a first aider and the importance of accurate and timely reporting
- Life-Saving Resuscitation: Master resuscitation techniques designed for infants and children
- Assessing Situations: Learn to evaluate emergencies and prioritize actions effectively
- Managing Unresponsiveness: Build confidence in handling fainting and unresponsive children
- Choking: Learn step-by-step procedures to clear airways and safely manage foreign objects
- Injury Care: Provide effective support for head injuries, fractures, wounds, and bleeding
- Conditions: Responding to asthma attacks, diabetes, sickle cell complications, and seizures
- Allergies and Shock: Recognize and respond to anaphylaxis, shock, and other critical conditions
- Burns and Eye Injuries: Deliver immediate care for burns and injuries to the eyes
- Emergencies: Handle hypothermia, heatstroke, and other temperature-related conditions with care
- Serious Illnesses: Identify warning signs of meningitis and other life-threatening conditions
